Tasked with designing & installing four separate rooftop arrays in Warren & Rockingham Counties (VA), Aurora looked at each individual site to assess their specified needs. Through creative design, Aurora Energy was able to customize each array according to roof space and offset needs resulting in a 96.6 kW system at the CPAD warehouse; 277.2 kW system at Port Services; 529.2 kW at Black Ice warehouse and 724.5 kW at Blue Stripe warehouse.
The total aggregate generation for the four sites is 2,178.4 kWh of electricity annually, feeding any excess back into the grid. Over the lifetime of the systems, more than 38,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide will be offset. In addition, the system installed at the Blue Stripe warehouse is the largest roof mounted solar array in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.
